Kate works as a graphic designer and artist producing illustrations of people, animals, houses and memorable landscapes. Her style is representational and her aim is to capture the personality of a person, pet, or the atmosphere of a place, and immortalise it on canvas. Her meticulous attention to detail and technique brings the subject to life and her aim is to make the subject leap out of the painting. She uses colour pastels and acrylic paints on a variety of surfaces including box canvases, coloured pastel paper, even slate.
